With a wealth of internationally renowned expertise and cutting-edge infrastructure, the life sciences research and innovation ecosystem represents an invaluable asset.
It encompasses over 170 businesses, scientific and technological parks, numerous national and international research centers, startups, three universities, two IRCCS (Scientific Institutes for Research, Hospitalization and Health Care), three healthcare companies, and an ITS (Higher Technical Institute) Academy for New Life Technologies.
These entities form an ideal ecosystem for the growth of the entire life sciences sector, which constitutes a significant asset for the economic development of the region.

The Life Sciences Cluster
The Life Sciences Cluster is an organization managed by the Adriatic Technological Pole aimed at fostering the development of the Life Sciences ecosystem in Friuli Venezia Giulia. The Cluster plays a leading role in building relationships between regional industrial and research sectors in the Life Sciences, promoting innovation, entrepreneurship, and business opportunities. It contributes to developing a virtuous ecosystem and making Friuli Venezia Giulia a center of excellence for research and innovation, as well as an attractive territory for researchers and entrepreneurial ventures.
