The FVG Life Sciences Ecosystem
Friuli Venezia Giulia is a centre of excellence for research and innovation in the life sciences, thanks to highly specialised expertise and infrastructure operating at national, European and international levels.
It comprises over 170 companies, science and technology parks, start-ups, national and international research centres, three universities, two IRCCS (Scientific Institutes for Research, Hospitalisation and Healthcare), three healthcare organisations and a Higher Institute of Technology for Chemistry and New Life Technologies.
The synergy between research, business, education and innovation creates a dynamic and competitive environment, capable of fostering the growth of the life sciences sector and contributing to the economic and social development of Friuli Venezia Giulia.

The Life Sciences Cluster
The Life Sciences Cluster, managed by the Alto Adriatico Technology Park, promotes the development of the life sciences ecosystem in Friuli Venezia Giulia, fostering collaboration between research, business and innovation.
The Cluster plays a strategic role in forging links between the region’s industrial and scientific sectors, supporting innovation, entrepreneurship and the development of new business opportunities.
Through networking, technology transfer and the promotion of local expertise, the Cluster helps to strengthen a dynamic and competitive ecosystem, making Friuli Venezia Giulia an attractive hub for talent, research and innovative businesses.
